Solvent-based lustre uses oil/alkyd resins with mineral-turpentine dilution, a strong lingering odour, and yellows over time. Water-based lustre dilutes with plain water, dries faster, is virtually odourless, and stays colour-true for years.

"Dana" (grainy or orange-peel) texture is created during application by rolling a wet second coat with a special textured roller, pulling the thick paint into an even, light-diffusing grain that also hides minor wall imperfections.
